Swelter in Place is the second solo release by Gerry McGoldrick, former frontman and songwriter of Napalm Sunday, Emily Valentine and Solid For Sixty. The 5 song EP was conceived, written (mostly) and recorded in under 4 months. Most of the songs on the record were written as up-tempo rock/pop ditties but were re-imagined by producer Matt Maguire as acoustic-based pop gems. IN ORDER TO FULLY APPRECIATE THESE RECORDINGS, THIS IS A RECORD THAT MUST BE LISTENED TO ON HEADPHONES.
